Overview

Responsible for preparing, setting up, breaking down and restocking of the continental breakfast buffet while displaying the highest standard of customer service to the guests

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
  • Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
  • Providing personalized service to all guests as well as listening and responding to guest’s requests or complaints.
  • Communicate to guests the breakfast offerings and basic hotel information.
  • Setting up and maintaining the continental breakfast in an attractive and organized manner.
  • Taking inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day.
  • Continually clearing and cleaning tables, counters and floors. Wiping up spills in necessary.
  • Ensure proper stocking of product and supplies needed for service.
  • Engage guests in conversation and make their experience memorable.
  • Maintains assigned area for cleanliness.
  • All other duties as assigned.

            EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED required.

 

            SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.

 

            LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

 

            MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

            REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
